Presidents Message

 

Hello and welcome back for 2008/2009. For all the families that have joined

our club for the first time this year a special welcome.

 

The end of season 2007/2008 saw the positions of president, vice president,

treasurer and secretary on our committee being vacated. I would like to thank

Neale Lomas, Rod Fenton, Darren Henry and Linda Barber on behalf of myself

and the club for the effort  they have put in over the last few years to make

the club what it is today. I know that the new members of the committee will

make every effort to keep the club moving ahead.

 

One of the most difficult things to organize on competition day is the duty roster.

This season we will be setting up a white board with duty positions  and times

that need to be filled. Any one that is new to Little Athletics or is unsure about

what they need to be doing for a particular duty, please speak to any of the

committee members for assistance. There is nothing difficult involved with these

duties and it’s a great opportunity to get out on the field and interact with the kids,

most of them don’t bite.

 

To all the athletes that will be competing this year I wish you all the best. The

important thing to remember during the season, is that it doesn’t matter how many

people there are in front or behind you, as long as your having fun and putting in

your best effort. Aim for a P.B and you’re a winner every time.
